The model in this photograph is me, by the way.
I just ajusted it a little bit in Photoshop.
I am currently working on how to make a illustration out of a photo.
The tip for the art lovers is:
Always take lots of pictures.
They can inspire you or you can even take them into an illustration-
it is really great to have your own stock of things,people, textures
etc.
About this weeks piece;-
I have made this as a fictional chicklit-cover.
I personally love chicklits-so I am in the target group
for what I am making here;)
I also use to check out what other illustrators have done before me,
and what I find, is that chicklits often use warm and bright colours-
and they really give that warm,fuzzy feeling you want to get
when you just want ot crawl into a blanket with a good cup of tea
and a good book.
However,
some use really crappy illustrations to chicklits which I think is such a waste,
becouse the book cover should always look like a gift package
to the reader.:)
I love books, and yes, I admit I often go to the library to get
inspiration.Sometimes(often, actually) I also get inspired by people
I see on the street-
always carry a little sketch book in case of inspiration;)
