"The gift of life"-Fictional bookcover.Bookillustration

I was inspired by a book of Cecilia Ahern.
I haven`t read it yet, but it`s a story about
a woman who-like most of us-rushes through life
without stopping, going on autopilot-until she meets
life itself, who happens to be an old man.

About the technique, I thought about papercutting,
and I also wanted to do it chicklit-style-
make it a book I would want to read myself,
which is always a good place to start when you
                              are going to illustrate something.

In NKF they told us that you should always draw in a
certain style so that everyone can recognize you-
but I think that as an artist, you should always try something
new every now and then or you will not grow as an artist.

Having said that, I like papercutting-but it is a teqhnicue I
hardly use anymore. But seeing this, I`m sure that you`ll
agree that combined with forexample Photoshop, which
is used here- you can get a exiting expression on
                              your illustration.

As always, hope you guys appreciate it and don`t be afraid
to contact me if you need an illustration/drawing
                              for your blog.

                                Have a good weekend!
