"Fred the cute beagle" Traditional art, Watersoutable pencils

                         Technique:

Watersoutable pencils from Faber Castell on Daler Rowney
and a little bit of mechanical pencil.0,5 from Mephisto.
                       Heavyweight paper, 210 x 297 mm, 135 ibs.

I would really recommend this book by Ann Kullberg
if you want  your colour pencil drawings to look really realistic.

I love these Faber Castell Watersoutable Colour pencils-they are very
good and easy to work with and they're available in
book stores such as Notabene in Oslo. They're also quite cheap
in my opinion, a box set cost about 379 crowns.

You can also get Watersoutable pencils at http://www.dickblick.com/search/?q=watercolour+pencils&x=0&y=0&sp_cs=UTF-8

I will not give you a review on them right now becouse I haven't tried
Albrecht Dürer Watercolour Pencils yet, but I found a good review here
for those who are curious http://www.biffybeans.com/2009/07/review-faber-castell-albrecht-durer.html

You can buy this paper in Oslo from Christ Engebretsen & Søn
             in Pilestredet 27 in Oslo.
and also from http://www.cassart.co.uk/drawing/paper_3/product_type_paper/daler_rowney_heavy_weight_cartridge_pad_220gsm_25_sheets.htm

It is also a good idea to look out for Ebay and Amazon when you want to get good deals
for art materials.

VOGUE-Madonna painting,Mechanical Pencil and charcoal

I have wanted to do some fanart of Madonna for a long time,
and finally got to do it.
I got the idea by mixing a lot of her poses from the Vogue video,
and make it a little chat noir style.
I ended with making it with mechanical pencil and coal for
                            the background for good contrast.

The logo I made myself in Photoshop.

                           Have a good weekend folks!

Polycolour Colour Pencils Drawing: Daughter of Smoke and Bone-Akilla and Karou

                   Title says it all.
I worked a lot last week on my colour pencil skills. I'm a huge fan of the
Daughter of smoke and bone series and I have made a lot of fan art from it already-
and there will be more, both digital art and tradional with colour pencils.

Wanna follow me on instagram? My name there is simply leticiahaugen,
but I update this blog way more.

The Demon and the Virgin-Isfolket fanart

    Hi guys.

    blyanter for skisserer.

gjør den skremmende "The Grey People" kom ut.

Jeg elsker Model kunst og selvfølgelig ønsker jeg å bli bedre på det, så jeg trodde dette var den
perfekt tid for å praktisere mine ferdigheter. ;)

Ha en god helg folkens og
Husk at verden er et magisk sted!

FASHION ILLUSTRATION-dresses, pear shaped women-a complete guide!

Fashion illustration No.1 "Red shoes, A-formed dress"

So, today-here`s something completely brand new.
I have worked with a teqhnicue which combines traditional grey pencils
                and then painted in Photoshop.

The idea behind is that I wanted to make fashion illustration especially
               for pear-shaped women.
I have spent a lot of time researching on the internet and magazines.
The two first illustrations you see here is what I have been working on
this week-look below for the complete guide for pear-shaped women.

               Fashion Illustration No.2:"Secrets"

Also, the reason I chose this teqhnicue was becouse I wanted it to look
a bit more realistic. In fashion illustration you often see these kind of
figures that just shows the shape, if you are pear-shaped, time-glass etc.

Anyway, if you are a pear-shaped woman, what you should go for is this:

-A Formed skirts.A-formed skirts or dresses with a high waist
              is always good.
It gives room for a bit of "junk in the trunk"and hides the part of you
that you don`t want everyone to see. If you got a bit of a big behind, you
             often  also have big thighs.
You should also use V-Shaped neck.

-Skirtdresses, and wrap around dresses is also good. Remember that dark
colours makes you thinner, so it it wise to use a lighter top with a darker
skirt or jeans. You should also  try jackets with shoulder pads as it
will help you achive a more time-glass formed body.

When it comes to jeans, it often is every pear shaped girls nightmare.
But despair not!   Here is what you do:
                Look for jeans with high-waist.

--and back: Look for jeans with BIG pockets. Small pockets actually makes your
butt looks bigger-and with a pear shaped body you often don`t want that.
Also stay out of pockets and jeans with a lot of details if you do not want the attention there.
Again, V-shaped necks and shirts with details help you to get the attention where you want it-
on your upper body!

I hope you liked this guide and please comment if there is anything you wonder about or
just want to let me know if it helped you:)

I would also like to give a spesific tip: Treat yourself and try on many different jeans
when you go shopping. Bik Bok has jeans with high-waist, and the new super-flex jeans is
good for pear-shaped bodies. What you need to think about is also to look
for jeans with stretch.
Happy shopping girls!;)

Rock of ages-fanart,mixed media Tom Cruise

                                                            Mixed media.
I took inspiration from a real photograph for the movie,
drew it so closely as I could  with traditional pencils, and then took it into
Photoshop and then mixed it up until I was satisfied.

                                     Have a good weekend folks!
