"Romance" Beautiful digital painting

                        I love those gowns, and suddenly realized that I haven't really drawn
                        anything like this lately.

                       Tools used: Intous tablet and Photoshop CC.

                       The gown itself is a little bit inspired from an old Barbie dress I had,haha!;)

                      I would really recommend this book by Ann Kullberg
                       if you want  your colour pencil drawings to look really realistic.

                   

                     
                               I love these Faber Castell Watersoutable Colour pencils-they are very
                               good and easy to work with and they're available in
                              book stores such as Notabene in Oslo. They're also quite cheap
                              in my opinion, a box set cost about 379 crowns.

"Candy apple" Colour pencils and goache+ How to get creative ideas for a drawing(Creative techniques:)

                         This is a an old drawing actually, but I  wanted to show it
                          becouse I have made a few improvements.

                        I highlighted the eyes a little bit in Photoshop CC,and also adjusted
                        the colours and highlights a little bit.

                        This is one of my own favourite pieces becouse I like the playfulness
                         and the bright colours.

                        Now, what I also would like to talk about today is that I see a lot
                        of people in the drawing group I'm in on Facebook asking
                        "What should I be drawing?"

                        Well, first and foremost, it depends on YOU. What kind of media
                         do you like to use? Digital, watercolours? Colour pencils?
                        It can sometimes also be useful to try a new medium. I, forexample,
                         was very fond of colour pencils and I was like; "I'm never going
                         to draw digitally."

                        I also know other illustrators who says that they don't like to
                        draw digitally, becouse it takes out all the fun of drawing.
                        But guess what? You can still have fun with your Promarkers,
                        graphite pencils or whatever media you like to draw with and
                        then take it into Photoshop and try new things.

                        You can use different brushes and maybe you will see that it's gonna
                         give you new ideas and you will end up with a better image than
                         you could think of before. I also often sit and go through old drawings,
                          and see if they can give me new ideas. To get what you want,
                         it can often be a good idea to see why you started in the first place.:)

                         Here is a list that can give you inspiration:

                         1. Walk through the city and look at the people there. Bring 
                              your sketchbook and try and draw what you see.
                               Sometimes I can forexample see a kid blowing bubble gum
                               and it will get my imagination running.Other times, it can
                               be a girl with really cool hair and you will go "oh, that would
                               be kinda cool to draw."
                      2. Visit a museum.
                      3.   Visit art sites like deviantart and also pinterest,tumbler
                            and instagram.
                     4.    Look at fashion magazines or other magazines, or
                             maybe you will look at Science illustrated and it will
                             give you ideas to draw something like space,
                              maybe you will look at National Geograpic and it will
                              give you the idea to draw an animal or a volcano.:)
                   5.       Go to the library and check out some books.
                              Like to draw scary things? Going to the childrens'
                               section will often give you fresh ideas.:)

                    6.     Use the "Cross method." You take a sheet,
                             write a line between and take one side with one word,
                              and one side with an object or an animal. It can also
                              be a person, forexample a real estate agent or an 
                              ballet dancer. 
                              While using this method, it is important that you don't think
                               "Naah" that's stupid, can't do that." Block out all your
                               negative thoughts and just use your imagination, write
                               down anything that comes to your mind.
                               I find it also useful to simply draw different objects in a
                                classifieds, forexample a fridge in one, a flower in the other,
                               ice cream, a chair, a cute pillow, a dog etc.
                               Then you combine one with the other.

                                I used this method when I headed a creative course with
                               my colleagues, and one of my colleagues came up with
                               an ice-cream with the taste of flowers!

                        7.   Tell a story in one drawing. I have previously talked about the
                              messy world of fan art, and you should always check
                              what applies for what you want to draw.
                              -Having said that, it can sometimes help to think
                               of something funny. Forexample, before I made my
                               drawing "Frankenstein running from the wedding"
                               I thought of  the movie with Frankenstein and his bride.
                               Then I thought of the movie with Julia Roberts,
                               "Runaway Bride". Bingo! (Of course, in my idea it was the
                                other way round-the groom running from the bride;)

                                  

                         
                         It can also of course be something simple, like
                         a girl playing with her dog, a woman sitting under the three in a
                         old-fashioned dress reading a book-which brings me to

                        8. Decide on the geographic and historical element.
                           Does it takes place in the late 1800 century? Does it take place
                            in 1995? In India or Amazonas? Kinda get's your imagination
                            running, doesn't it?;)

                         9. Try to copy another artists' style.
                              And of course, I do not mean stealing.
                              But challenging yourself by trying to draw something
                              in a style you are not used to can be a good thing-
                              and if you're pleased with the result, you can also get that
                              self-esteem feeling with "Hey, I did it!" and it will
                              also give you a boost to try more.

                        10. Go to a concert/ listen to music.
                             I personally often doodle while listening to Spotify, and
                             then I can suddenly get an idea,
